CHILE MISSION’S February Prayer Needs and Gratitude

“OUR JESUS NEWNESS brings BLESSINGS and GRATITUDE!!”

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100 (above) is a GREAT PSALM of God’s love and faithful blessing and our joy, worship, and gratitude in response. It’s all part of our Jesus “newness” that drives us forward in serving him with gladness.  I recently asked a special 8-year-old friend named Peter for his favorite Bible verses and Psalm 100 was his response.

Your on-going prayers for us and for CHILE MISSION also continually bring us and our Chilean teammates blessings and gratitude!  You not only continue to pray with us and for us, but you also continue to respond to our financial needs, both in terms of on-going sometimes BIG mission expenses, and to the occasional needs of our team.  The Santiago Dulce Refugio (Sweet Refuge House) provides free shelter and special care with Jesus at the center for Chilean families dealing with real, complicated medical care of a loved one and the ongoing development of our Christian Camp property Campo Vivo (The Countryside Alive) in the middle of the country is always in motion.

Both of these main ministries are so worth it in a country where Jesus is mostly not known or followed at all.

We are in Chile until mid-April and as such have the blessing of splitting our time between Santiago and the Camp property in middle Chile.  In both locations we thus have the added advantage of praying and working together “in person” and of attending different churches together (as we do on behalf of CHILE MISSION in the States as well) to increase awareness of area churches in the work of the mission and hopefully find a way for those churches to participate in our ministry and camp development.  While here we are also able to work in team to accomplish financial record-keeping, finalize 2026 short & long-term goals, and take care of other legal steps.  A BIG goal is to open a checking account in the name of our Foundation.  Thank you for praying with us in accomplishing the above!  We might note that it is not common for Chilean churches to connect to needs outside of themselves.

IN SANTIAGO our Chilean teammate Carolina (who coordinates and carries out the work of Dulce Refugio) and husband Julián do a group meeting once per week with everyone currently staying on our mission site in order to have them better know each other and the medical challenges that each family is facing, as well as making sure that the daily workings of each house are in order.  The meeting begins with a biblical passage and short devotional, and Julián also leads the group in brief prayers for each family.  We were in Santiago this past weekend before traveling south to the Camp property and it was a true blessing to participate in the group meeting.  There are currently five families staying on the mission site, coming from various locations within the country, and one woman is even from Venezuela.  She shared about the downward economic trajectory of their country that began with President Chavez.  Here are two photos:

Thank you for continuing to pray in general terms for all those that come to Dulce Refugio for varied lengths of time (a few for several months).  We will continue to post photos of some, but ALL are blessed and grateful for our housing and for your prayers!

CAMPO VIVO IN MIDDLE CHILE

YES, the container is on the camp property and yes, we and Abraham & Catalina are all greatly blessed and grateful for its safe recent arrival from the port!  We recently took this short video of Abraham & Jack thanking certain major contributors of items sent to Chile, but in reality their and our thanks is to ALL of you who support CHILE MISSION with prayers and finances!  We hope that the following Word Press link works in viewing the video.😊

During this past time on the Camp property we and Abraham were able to finalize the size (40’ x 60’) and location of the two-story maintenance bldg. to be constructed. Abraham continues to search for an experienced constructor of metal buildings, as the situations of those he had already spoken with have changed. Earlier this week we and Abraham did meet with another constructor, but will continue searching. We also discussed the possibility of Abraham himself coordinating the construction. The idea is to construct the metal outer housing of the maintenance building and then complete the inner office, restroom, and storage areas that will fill it.

In February and March we have the SUPER BLESSING to look forward to of the arrival of one family, two churches, and possibly some individuals these first months of 2026 (Chilean Summer) to come and help work.  The Visser Family from Tennessee arrives in early February, followed by Frist Christian Church in King, NC (their third trip to Chile throughout the years), and then in March a group from Broadway Christian Church in Mattoon, IL.  Each of these three groups/families bring certain skills and “servanthood” ready to connect, and in line with this letter’s theme, we and they are all blessed and grateful!!

Having said that, for anyone or any group wanting to come as well before mid-April, it’s not too late to contact us and come be a part!  Our email is chilemission1@gmail.com and while we can’t answer regular phone calls due to cost, we can communicate through WhatsApp and FaceTime without cost which we can answer on our cell phone 949-394-8282.

Rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks to our “JESUS SOURCE OF BLESSINGS & GRATITUDE” One True God,

Jack & Janine

  1. As We gave agreed to many times, again

It must be said that our God and Father is a wonderful provider ! Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him Who IS Able to Do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

it is a great video to see all the hard work come to fruition !

    Praise God !!
